Moussac has a subscription for the court at nearby Touffailles. Rackets and balls are available at the house.

LEISURE LAKES - Montaigue de Quercy (10kms) a large lake with diving area sandy beaches, two tennis courts and pedaloes. Beauville (9kms) swimming lake with canoe hire.

GOLF - Roucous Salvatore - near Lauzerte - 9 hole golf course.

FISHING - available on most lakes and rivers. Lists and permits available at local tourist offices.

ACTIVITIES

Wine tasting - many regional wines to be discovered. You can drop in at any vineyard to taste the wine - and buy if you like it! (Bergerac, Cotes du Duras, Cahors, Coteaux de Quercy, Gers, Languedoc etc).

Gastronomy - there is a huge choice of restaurants available in this area. Most offer simple home cooked food. Many menus feature local produce, including duck, prunes, cepes and foie gras. (There is a regularly updated book of restaurants, including menus and telephone numbers, at Moussac)

There are many wild and woody areas and beautiful meadows on the Plateaux for walks and picnics.

Penne D'agennais - a beautiful little town on the river Lot. Filled with ancient buildings and artists studios and shops. There are also several restaurants.

Chateau Bonaguil - an imposing 15th Century castle, situated north of Fumel.

Walibi Theme Park - close to Agen, this theme park is suitable for all the family.

Quercy Rail - an old diesel train that starts and returns to Cahors station. Different locations include Chateau Cenevieres, and St Cirq Lapopie.

Markets - a must if you want to experience the "real" France.

Vibrant and noisy, selling excellent locally produced food and drink. The stallholders are delighted to let you taste before you buy!

Rikki Plage is nearby at Fauroux. It is a clear shallow weir pool on the river Sedune, with a sandy beach. Excellent for swimming, picnics, fishing and is within easy walking or cycling distance.
